Attica, Ind. - Mrs. Minnie B. Day, 99, who had been residing in Lafayette, died at Burnett Nursing Home in Lafayette at 4:30 a.m. today. She would have been 100 in February. Born near West Lebanon in Warren County on Feb. 15, 1868, she was the daughter of Jacob and Sarah Crone Michael. She came to Attica in 1918. She was married Nov. 16, 1887 in Warren County to Charles W. Day who preceded her in death Aug. 1, 1929. He had been the dentist of West Lebanon and Attica. A former schoolteacher in Warren County, Mrs. Day was active in the Presbyterian Church in West Lebanon and Attica and was a former member of the Monday Club and the Mothers Club. Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Ward (Juanita) Dougherty of Attica and Mrs. Ruby Landis of Lafayette; six grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren. Services will be at 2:30 p.m. Friday at the DeSutter Funeral Home with the Rev. Donald Ashley officiating. Burial will be in West Lebanon Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home after 7 p.m. Thursday. - jlr
